SNMPTN 2013

Based on Law Number 12 Year 2012 on Higher Education, the Indonesian Government Regulation No. 66 of 2010 concerning Amendment to Government Regulation No. 17 Year 2010 on the Management and Operation of Education, and the Minister of National Education Regulation No. 34 Year 2010 on the pattern of Admissions Program scholars on Higher Education organized by the Government, a new system of undergraduate admissions at colleges nationwide through selection and other forms.

Based on the results of the meeting between the Governing Council of Rector of Indonesian State Universities with the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture determined that the selection of the national government is responsible for the selection, while other forms are the responsibility of the State Council of Higher Education Chancellor Indonesia and / or the respective State Universities Rectors each.

National selection system is the selection made by the entire community college attended by participants from all over Indonesia in the form of the National Selection State University (SNMPTN). SNMPTN 2013 is the only national pattern of selection conducted by the Organizing Committee SNMPTN 2013 that stipulated by the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture and followed by all State Universities in one integrated system. SNMPTN 2013 implementation costs borne by the government, so that no participant registration fee.

In line with the Government about Bidikmisi program, participants from economically disadvantaged families and have high academic achievement through SNMPTN can participate in the selection and if accepted will receive a scholarship at state universities during the study period normal.

This information provides general provisions SNMPTN 2013, which followed 61 State Universities. The information presented includes registration requirements, charging School and Student Data Base (PDSS), how to register, implementation schedule, and the selection of study program. This information is published to be studied carefully by prospective participants SNMPTN 2013.

BACKGROUND

New students must fulfill the principle of fair and non-discriminatory by not distinguish gender, religion, ethnicity, race, social status, and level of economic ability of prospective students as well as taking into account the specificity of potential candidates and college students.

Colleges as providers of education after high school / SMK / MA / MAK prospective students receive high academic achievers and is expected to successfully complete the study in a college based on academic performance and recommendations of the Head of School. High achievers and students who consistently demonstrate these achievements deserve a chance to be a prospective student at the state university.

School as an educational unit and as educators believed teachers always uphold the honor and honesty as part of character education principles. Thus the school is entrusted recommend students to enroll.

PURPOSE

SNMPTN objectives are:

• giving opportunity to all children of the nation are high academic achievers to obtain higher education.
• get the best of new students through the selection of students who have high academic achievement at SMA / SMK / MA / MAK, including RI Schools abroad.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General Provisions

• SNMPTN a national selection patterns based networking academic achievement using grades and other achievements.
• School and Student Data Base (PDSS) is a database that contains the track record of the school and student academic achievement.
• Schools are entitled to engage students in a school that has SNMPTN is National School Identification Number (NPSN) and that student achievement data to fill in PDSS.
• Students who are eligible for selection of students who have a track record of academic achievement in PDSS.
• Student applicants must read the terms that apply to each of PTN in PTN selected pages.

Special Provisions

School Requirements

Schools whose students are eligible SNMPTN:

• SMA / SMK / MA / MAK public and private, including the RI schools abroad.
• PDSS filled.
• Registered for the National Examination (UN) 2013.

Student Requirements Applicants

Registration

• SMA / SMK / MA / MAK last class that followed the UN in 2013.
• Students have a National Identification Number (NISN) and listed on the PDSS.
• Getting a recommendation from the Head of School.
• Have academic achievement in school on all semester.

Acceptance

Graduated from the National Examination and Education Unit, graduated SNMPTN 2013, the physically and mentally healthy, and meet other requirements specified by each recipient PTN.

FOLLOWING PROCEDURE SNMPTN

Basically all students who take the class final examination in 2013 SNMPTN eligible. To follow SNMPTN, go through two (2) tranches charging PDSS and registration.

Charging PDSS

• Principal data on schools and students fill in PDSS through pageshttp://pdss.snmptn.ac.id .
• Principal every student get a password that will be used for verification.
• Students perform the data verification track record of academic achievement that is loaded by using NISN Principal and password given by the Principal.
• For students who do not carry out the verification of the data track record of academic achievement that is loaded by the Principal is considered true and can not be changed after the verification period ends.

Registration

• Applicants students, using NISN and password, which is given by the Principal at the time of verification of the data in the PDSS, the login page to SNMPTNhttp://www.snmptn.ac.id  to register.
• Applicants students filling the biodata, PTN choice, and choice of study program, as well as upload (upload) the latest official photographs and documents additional achievements. Student applicants must read and understand all the provisions that apply to state universities will be selected.
• Principal shall make recommendations to the students who have signed up SNMPTN.
• Applicants sports and arts courses must upload proof of the skills portfolio or documents filled by the Principal and / or students using the guidelines that can be downloaded on the page http://www.snmptn.ac.id .
• Evidence of student applicants scored Registration Card as proof of SNMPTN participants.

SCHEDULE SNMPTN

SNMPTN implementation schedule is as follows:

Charging PDSS	December 17, 2012 - February 8, 2013 and thereafter periodically loaded end of each semester
Registration	1 February to 8 March 2013
Selection Process	9 March to 27 May 2013
Announcement of Selection Results	May 27, 2013 at 16:00 pm
Re-registration for the Graduate Selection	18-19 June 2013

STUDY SELECTION AND TOTAL

• Each student applicant can choose a maximum of 2 (two) PTN of interest.When selecting a state university, the state university selected can be anywhere in the province. If you select more than one state university, then one state university in the province should be the same with their home high school, or from nearby provinces where there has been no state university in his native province.
• Student applicants may choose a maximum of two (2) courses that are of interest to each PTN.
• PTN selection and sequence courses stated priority option.

REGISTRATION FEES

Student applicants are not charged a registration fee.

PRINCIPLES AND SELECTION MECHANISM

Selection Principle

• The selection is to get a qualified prospective students academically by using grades and other achievements as well as the results of national examinations.
• Selection carried out by observing the performance of the school.
• Selection carried out in an objective, fair, and akuntabeldengan use signs of national selection criteria and the criteria set by each state university.
• Result of selection does not have to meet the capacity if the applicant does not meet the required criteria.

Selection Mechanism

Selection is done in stages, namely:

• The first phase, student applicants will be selected at state universities in order of first choice elective courses.
• If the students at the state university applicants not selected the first option, it will be included in the second stage of selection in PTN second choice in order of choice of courses and the availability of capacity.
